Cooking Games: Peanut Butter and Banana Sandwich

This sandwich is a southern classic and was once the favorite of Elvis Presley. You can make your own peanut butter and banana sandwich quite simply.

Gather Cooking Game Ingredients
You’ll need:
  • A banana
  • Two slices of bread, preferably white, not wheat
  • Creamy peanut butter

Making a Sandwich
To make your sandwich, you’ll need to first use a knife very carefully to cut the banana. Cut it in half first and then cut along the length of the banana until you have four long skinny pieces that will fit nicely into a sandwich.

Spread peanut butter on both pieces of bread – a thin layer is probably best for this as a thick layer combined with white bread does get a bit gummy.

When you’ve put peanut butter on both sides, carefully lay out the banana so that the pieces cover a single slice of bread, but don’t overlap. Place the other piece of bread over the top of the banana and your sandwich is complete.

Because it’s a rather thick sandwich, you’ll want to take small bites to be sure you don’t bite off more than you can chew.

If you like the sandwich, you can almost make a variation of it that includes honey. This is truly a special treat – a peanut butter, honey and banana sandwich.
