Cooking Games: Ants on a Log

If you’re looking for a simple cooking game to do with your younger brother or sister, try this one. It’s a fun way to enjoy some fruits and veggies, too.

Making Ants on a Log
To actually make ants on a log, you’ll need help from someone younger to really make it fun. Start by carefully filling in the center of the celery with peanut butter. Since yu area getting help from a younger sibling or cousin, you’ll want to use creamy peanut butter – the crunchy kind can be somewhat dangerous for young children.

Smear on the peanut butter, trying to keep in the groove of the celery rather than on the sides. When the “log” is coated in peanut butter, have your younger helper carefully arrange the raisins in a row right down the center of the peanut butter.

The end result is a series of dark “ants” marching down a brown “log.” The best part of all is that the ants can keep right on marching into your mouth.
