Cooking Games: Brownie Cake

Easily one of my favorite ways to get a chocolate fix, brownie cake is a mixture of brownies and icing that is richly delicious. It can be so rich, even, that it is best in small doses. It is also especially yummy with ice cream.

Gather Ingredients:
To make a brownie cake, you’ll need a box of brownie mix and the required elements of the mix – usually oil, water and eggs. You’ll also need a tub of icing. You have your choice of icing, but the richest flavors usually come from a chocolate fudge icing or a cream cheese icing. You can also use chocolate chips or chocolate candies to finish the project.

Prepare the Brownie Cake
In this cooking game, you’ll be baking brownies and then using your icing and candy to create the delicious topping. Bake the brownies according to the instructions on the box. There is often a recipe for a cake-like brownie versus a chewy brownie. You have your choice, but the cake-like brownie is usually your best choice for brownie cake – it is softer.

While the brownies cook, prepare a serving plate and open your tub of icing. Stir it a few times to soften it up and then you’re ready. Once the brownies have baked and cooled, ice the pan of brownies with a thick layer of icing. Sprinkle chocolate candy over the top and then cut the brownies into small servings. Arrange them on the serving platter and enjoy!
