Flower Cookies

Want to treat your friends to something extra special? This cooking game is especially fun because you enjoy the final product almost as much as the ingredients!

Make a batch of sugar cookies using ready to bake dough or from scratch. Use a round cookie cutter or tin can to cut perfect circles in your cookies. This might mean you need to roll out the dough, you can just use the kind that comes in little circles already.

When the cookies are completely cooled off, spread a layer of icing on top of each. You can use food coloring to make your icing something fun like a pale blue or green if you’d like. Or you can use chocolate icing to make the flowers pop.

When the cookies are made and iced, grab a package of candy vines and a bag of M&Ms. Unwind the red candy vines until you have just one. Carefully lay the vine onto the cookie in a figure 8 pattern. You might need to cut off some excess. Then make another figure 8 on top of the first, but with the round parts fitting neatly between the first two. Now you should have a four-pedaled red flower.

Put one yellow M&M in the center of the flower (us ea bit of icing to secure it as needed.) Your flower can now be complete or you can use red M&Ms to fill in the petals if you’d like.
